My best analogy for jazz right now is the ocean. Even if I started listening 24/7 and going to shows whenever I could, I’d really only see a fraction of a percent of the unfathomable whole. That said, I’ve downloaded 2 Ceramic Dog albums to listen to later, and sent my buddy who used to live in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania 6 6666. I’m up for a swim. 🏊 Ribot is excellent.
I’ve been listening to more Marc Ribot lately and don’t know about him, so I really appreciate this post.
This is just a part of his amazing work. As a sideman he is present on hundreds of records (avant-garde, vocal jazz, alternative rock, etc)
