A Personal Take on a Major Jazz Milestone
A nice article, thanks. If you like Conference of the Birds there are two other albums you may wish to check out.
Karyobin by Spontaneous Music Ensemble which has Dave on bass and Derek Bailey on guitar, amongst other fine players.
Improvisations for Cello and Guitar - a duet record by Dave and Derek Bailey.
These are British/European free improvisation rather than free jazz. Great stuff.
Thanks! I wasn’t aware of those albums you mentioned. European free improv is always welcome :)
